Yes, really. Someone’s come up with rape prevention underwear (for women). Called AR Wear, the undergarment is capable of being “locked” after being put on. This prevents the fabric around the waist area from being cut or pulled down or the thigh area fabric from being cut or pulled up. The garment is locked via a small button with two “clock hands” that have to be set in the correct positions to be unlocked – and there are 132 possible positions. On the other hand (!) they’re still easy for the wearer to take off. The item is currently an Indiegogo project (wiki) that as of this writing has been funded up to $38,550 of the $50,000 it needs to get off the ground.
Take a look back at this past year’s and years’ passed Halloweens of Hollywood’s sexiest women in uniform. (Also included are the outfits they donned for roles they were playing at the time). On the other side of the coin are the trouble-makers with the cutest celebrity mugshots. One guess who makes both lists.
Heidi Montag in uniform at a Halloween party in October 2008.
Two years before Montag in 2006, Paris Hilton wore the same police outfit for Halloween. (Her folks Kathy and Rick Hilton dressed up as cops this past year). If you are actually interested in seeing that though, you never should have passed the psych exam for this profession, and I weep for your children.
Pamela Anderson once donned a police uniform in a video ad for PETA that was deemed too racy for New York City airports. In the short and somewhat comedic video, she played the role of an airport security officer who denies boarding privileges to passengers wearing leather or fur coats.
In September 2008 Beyonce Knowles dressed in NYPD blue for her music video for “If I Were a Boy.”
Alyssa Milano wearing an (ahem) police uniform for an episode of NBC comedy series My Name is Earl. She appears in Episode Six of Season Three, and you can view the actual scene above as well (flash only).
It is a little debatable whether this shot of Paula Garces belongs here, considering that she appears to define herself here more based on what she is not wearing rather than what she actually is… but I doubt you’ll be complaining. Garces played a cop on FX’s gritty series The Shield and is perhaps best-known for her role as Harold’s love interest in the Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle movies.
Back in July, Denise Richards tweeted: “I’m starting to think we’re making a Porno with this wardrobe!” regarding her above outfit for a role on Spike TV’s Blue Mountain State. Not a bad idea, Denise.

Dating website Meet-An-Inmate.com boasts a wide selection of single… inmates (!) to choose from. Maeghan, 22, pictured at left, says she “got involved with the wrong guy at a young age and I am paying the price, now I want to find the right guy.”
Yes, this is a real German liquor, with a typical going price of $150 per bottle. GSpirits (warning: the company’s website is not safe for the office) guarantees that all its liquor was poured over the bare breasts of a model prior to it being bottled (how do you prove or disprove this?). Three different varieties of liquor are offered, with a designated model for each. Photos of the models are on the liquor company’s website. No word on exactly how the liquor is captured after it rolls of the model’s ta-tas or exactly how or why this could be hygienic to drink, although the company does claim that “medical personnel” are present for the filling process!
Definitely not safe for the office: check out a marketing video below on the product, though it’s in German (but you’ll get to see some more ta-tas).
Though it would still be considered at least a misdemeanor, Texas lawmakers are considering decriminalizing repeat offenses for selling or buying sex. Specifically, state law currently allows prosecutors to charge prostitutes with a felony after three misdemeanor convictions. When the Legistlature meets again in January 2013, lawmakers are now expected to consider dropping the felony-class charge for repeat prostitution offenders.
Part of the reason for this is money – housing a convict in state prison or a lower-security jail costs between $15,500 and $18,538 annually, whereas community-based rehabilitation programs carry an annual cost of about $4,300.

The original black and white classic photo to the left of a spontaneous kiss between an American sailor and a nurse was taken on V-J Day, August 14, 1945, in Times Square by photographer Alfred Eisenstaedt. It was published a week later in Life magazine. The colorized version above was created by reddit user mygrapefruit. She chose some of the colors by looking at postcards of Times Square from the time, while others were a matter of simple guesswork.

Did you know there are some prisons where the prison staff hold beauty pageants for the female prisoners?
For example, take the Russian correctional facility UF 91/9, an all-women’s prison camp some 20 miles away from the Siberian capital of Novosibirsk. Here, the reward for winning is neither money nor a modeling contract, but something far more precious: a ticket to freedom. A prisoner can only be released early if the prison staff gives their recommendation to a special parole board. The most important criteria for consideration is “active participation in the social life of the camp,” and so unsurprisingly the annual Miss Spring contest is quite popular among prisoners.
A similar scene plays out in the Colombian prison of El Buen Pastor women’s prison in Bogota. The contest is held each year in September to honor the Virgin of Mercedes, patron saint of prisons.
According to Virginia Camacho, the Secretary of the Colombian prison and the pageant’s coordinator: “The fact that they made a mistake in their lives doesn’t mean they aren’t allowed to be a human being or feel like a woman.”
And then there is Peru’s Santa Monica Prison for women in Lima, where, the female inmates held a circus this September. They were inspired by Cirque du Soleil, which was giving a performance in the city at the same time.

As a rule, most mugshots by their very nature aren’t terribly flattering to the subject. However, the following 11 photos defy that general truth. (Nearly as interesting are Hollywood’s Sexiest Women in Uniform).
Michelle Rodriguez and Cynthia Watros, stars of the ABC megahit “Lost,” were arrested by Honolulu cops in December 2005 and charged with drunk driving.
‘Girlicious’ singer Natalie Mejia was arrested in Glendale, California for suspicion of possessing cocaine for sale, according to police and published reports. Police reportedly found more than a dozen bags containing cocaine in her purse.
The Bachelor sixth season winner and former NFL cheerleader Mary Delgado was arrested in November 2008 and charged with disorderly conduct, public intoxication, and resisting arrest. (It was her second arrest in less than a year, but she didn’t look as good in her first mugshot). Her previous arrest was for assaulting said bachelor Byron Velvick.
Tara Patrick (aka Carmen Electra) was arrested by Miami Beach police in November 1999 and charged with battering her husband, former NBA star Dennis Rodman.
Paris Hilton garnered a DUI arrest in September 2006. The mugshot on the left was taken immediately after her booking and was mistakenly released to the general public, as her white jumper is not visible and could lead to some speculation as to whether she was wearing anything at all…
Police took two mugshots of Lindsay Lohan (her freckled one is here) over several months after she pleaded guilty to cocaine possession and driving under the influence in August 2007.
The cast of the Vampire Diaries was arrested in September 2009 for allegedly flashing passing motorists.
Rapper Lil’ Kim was arrested in New Jersey in July 1996 for possession of marijuana. (Based on the expression on her face, she’s either really high or really pissed). She was taken into custody after a police raid on the Teaneck home of Biggie Smalls (aka Christopher Wallace). Before her solo career, she was a member of Smalls’ protegé group, Junior M.A.F.I.A.
Jennifer Lopez was arrested in New York on November 16, 1998 along with her then-boyfriend Sean “Puffy” Combs. Following a shooting at a club they had visited, their vehicle was stopped by police for running a redlight. A gun was found in their vehicle, and they were both charged with criminal possession of a weapon and of stolen property.
In 2002, actress Kim Delaney (best known for her role as Detective Diane Russell on the ABC drama N.Y.P.D. Blue) was arrested for suspicion of drunk driving after she refused to take a breathalyzer test. She pleaded no contest and was sentenced to two years’ probation, fined, and ordered to take a driving class.
Playboy Playmate Crystal McCahill (May 2009 issue) was arrested on January 7, 2009 for driving under the influence in Cook County, Illinois.
Bonus: Two Not-So-Cute Mugshots
Now you know how they look when they wake up in the morning.
Heather Locklear was arrested in 2008 for driving under the influence of prescription medications. She pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving and was placed on three years informal probation. She was arrested again in April 2010 for a hit-and-run in Westlake Village, California, though since it was a misdemeanor violation, she was simply cited and not taken into custody.
Yasmine Bleeth was arrested in 2001 by police in Michigan and charged with cocaine possession.
